Our client in the Oliver Neighbourhood of Edmonton, was dealing with a leaking basement and flooding in the Spring and during extended periods of rain. Our foundation repair experts diagnosed the issue, installed a new weeping tile system, waterproofed the walls and installed insulation board. We excavated under the stairs and preserved their landscaping through hand digging, all within three days. No more leaks since!
The Problem
Our client was experiencing a leaking basement along the interior wall and flooding in the basement of their single family home in the Spring time and during extended periods of rain. This was creating damage to the flooring, walls and stored belongings. This problem has been occurring over the past several years.
Free Assessment
A comprehensive on-site evaluation revealed significant issues, including visible interior basement basement foundation cracks, and water staining on the concrete walls. Additionally, the weeping tile system was found to be non-operational. These assessments are expertly performed by our owner, Kevin Kuypers, who draws on over 25 years of experience in foundation repair and assessment, complemented by the foundation repair knowledge he gained from his father.
The Solution
Our preparation involved our team excavating under the front stairs to avoid removing them, and excavating the exterior foundation wall by hand to ensure minimal disturbance and damage.
Our solution included waterproofing the walls, installing a foundation waterproof repair membrane system, a weeping tile system around the exterior walls, a sump pump system in the basement, and new window wells with appropriate drainage systems. We increased the R-value, (measures how well building insulation can prevent the flow of heat into and out of the home) along the exterior basement walls by adding 8.08 R-value insulation board, and provided a 25-year transferable guarantee on the workmanship provided!
As with all of our foundation repair projects, we ensured that the exterior grade around the property was properly sloped away from the house to promote effective drainage and help prevent future water intrusion.
Additionally, the homeowner’s existing landscaping was preserved and remained undisturbed outside the designated hand-digging perimeter required for the repair work, as we always strive to minimize any disruption to surrounding landscaping during our projects.
The Results
We successfully waterproofed the foundation of the homeowner’s property, providing a comprehensive barrier against moisture intrusion and ensuring long-term protection from basement leaks and water damage. All of this while maintaining the integrity of external structures and landscaping, AND providing a 25 year transferable guarantee on workmanship!

The tools were all laid out every morning and the crew took good care of their equipment.
